Orchard Update on Apples and Events

Hello, apple lovers! What an incredible season it's been at The Orchard, and we're thrilled to share an update on our apples, apple juice, and 'goings-on' at our beloved farm.

Apple Update: McIntosh and Golden Delicious are Done for the Season

We can't believe it, but we're officially out of McIntosh and Golden Delicious apples for the season. These varieties were absolute stars this year - McIntosh with its juicy, tart-sweet bite and Golden Delicious with its mellow, honeyed flavor. If you're lucky enough to have some left at home, here are a couple of ideas to make the most of them:

McIntosh: Perfect for a classic apple pie or a cozy applesauce with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Golden Delicious: Try slicing them for a fresh apple salad with walnuts and a drizzle of honey, or bake them into a warm apple crisp.

Our U-Pick program has officially wrapped up for 2025

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, picked apples, and made our fledgling u-pick program such a success! Your enthusiasm, smiles, and support mean the world to us. What's Still Available?

For those looking to grab some apples, we've got Empire available for pickup (handpicked, organic, washed) at our retail store. Mark your calendars: Arkansas Black apples, with their deep, tart flavor, will be ready around November 1st. Come and get 'em while they last!

Apple Juice Alert: Bonus Run This Friday!

You all went wild for our famous apple juice, wiping out our last stash in just 48 hours! By popular demand, we're making a bonus run of our delicious, fresh pressed apple juice. Robin will be back with more 1/2 jugs at 9AM this Saturday. Fair warning: It'll go fast, we can't take preorders, and please, no biting in line! To sweeten the deal, we're stocking up on cakes from The Mug, sourdough goodies from Herndon Homestead, and the SugarShack, so you can grab some extra treats while you're here. We also have pumpkinds for sale for $5.

What's Next at the Orchard?

Our retail store is open through Thanksgiving and we'll start taking pie orders the first week of November. I'll share the full list of this year's pie flavors soon, but in the past, we've offered crowd-pleasers like Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, Traditional Pecan, Caramel Apple Pie, Bumbleberry, and Pumpkin. Stay tuned for details!

Looking ahead, we've got u-pick blackberries starting mid-July next year, so mark your calendars for that summer treat. After Thanksgiving, we'll be watching the weather and planning some fun pop-up events and holiday shopping opportunities. Keep an eye on our updates for what's coming next!
