Robin’s Back from Down Under, and It’s Time to Pick Some Pear-fect Bartletts!

Updated: Aug 19

G’day, fruit lovers! Our fearless Farm Manager, Robin, has returned from her Australian adventure, and she’s ready to shake things up - starting with our Bartlett pears! After inspecting the orchard with her expert eye, Robin has officially declared tomorrow Pear Picking Day! Those gorgeous Bartletts are ready to be plucked, and they’ll be perfectly ripe for buying and munching by the weekend.

Now, let’s address the elephant in the orchard: I might’ve told some of you this past weekend that the pears would go bad in two days. Yeah, about that: whoops! ;) Turns out, I’m no pear prophet. Robin’s the real deal, so when it comes to fruit wisdom, always listen to her - and she says a week or two after they're picked, the Bartlett's will be perfect. I’ll quit lying to you guys and just stick to carrying the baskets and looking apologetic. But do come this weekend if you're a fan of our pears! ;)

A Quick Note on Honey Crisps

For those of you up in the mountains itching to pick your Honey Crisp apples and who asked about the perfect time to pick this past weekend, Robin says they need another 2-3 weeks to reach peak deliciousness. Hang tight - they’ll be worth the wait! Also, feel free to bring one to the apple shed at The Orchard and we're happy to test the sugar content for you.

Don’t Miss Out on Pears!

Our Bartlett pears are in limited supply, and trust me, they disappear faster than my credibility after that two-day pear blunder. If you’ve been dreaming of those sweet, juicy gems, swing by the orchard on Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Get here early, because these pears are the talk of the town, and they won’t last long!
