A Final Squeeze of Fall: Robin’s Coastal Juicing Adventure & More Orchard Delights

Dear Orchard Family,

As the golden days of autumn weave their magic through our trees, we’re thrilled to share some exciting news from the heart of our Orchard. This Friday, our beloved Robin is heading out to the coast to work her magic, pressing the last of our season’s apples into our famous fresh-squeezed apple juice. By 9 AM this Saturday, we’ll have approximately 130 half-gallon jugs ready for you to grab, though we expect a slightly smaller batch than our last run of 138 bottles - which, by the way, sold out in just 48 hours! To ensure everyone gets a taste, we’re limiting purchases to two jugs per paying person. This crisp, golden juice is perfect for sipping now or freezing for a burst of fall flavor later. This is our final juicing of the 2025 season, so don’t miss your chance - it’s now or next apple season!

While our You-Pick program has wrapped up (the trees are bare, and we’re all picked out except for one special variety), we still have plenty of Empire apples available for purchase at the Orchard. These sweet-tart beauties are perfect for snacking, baking, or gifting.

As we look to the horizon, our final apple of the season, the Arkansas Black, will be ready for harvest around November 1st. This heirloom variety, dating back to the 1870s in Benton County, Arkansas, is a true gem. Known for its deep, almost black-red hue and firm, juicy flesh, the Arkansas Black is a descendant of the Winesap apple and shines in cider, pies, and long-storing recipes. Its complex, tart-sweet flavor deepens with time, making it a favorite for winter baking or simply enjoying as a crisp, fresh treat. We don’t allow public picking for this special apple, but we’ll have it available for purchase soon, so stay tuned!
