Robin Calderwood shall be crowned Queen of The World (at least of this apple farm), in just seven short days. We start picking apples and are open to the public on Friday, September 8th, 2023. We've heard more than one rumbling of "this looks like the best crop, ever," and we can't disagree. We think that last big storm has something to do with it, but most of this year's success has to do with the heroic efforts of our Farm Manager, Robin Calderwood, and Pat Steele, of Ascent Construction. May you both live long and prosper.
We begin apple picking at 8AM and will finish around noon. There will be multiple trips back and forth from the field to the apple shed/retail store throughout the day. We're still looking for one or two more teammates to help us pick apples, so if you, or someone you know, are interested, please call Robin at (559) 618-1983.
The first ready crop will be McIntosh! We will have the shop open on Tuesday through Sunday to accommodate apple sales, but will only serve pastries, bread, and pies from Thursday through Sunday, from 8AM to 4:30PM. Coffee will be served from 8AM - 4:30PM, every day except Monday. Here's the updated Harvest Calendar:
We look forward to a bountiful apple harvest this season, but most of all, we look forward to seeing all of you!
Cheers,
The Orchard Team
