We are so excited to welcome Tami Emge of Ventura to The Orchard at Meadow Lakes! Tami is a yoga and meditation facilitator and certified sound healer who has spent the past 20 years in private practice in Ventura, California. She is excited to begin yoga, meditation, and sound healing classes at the orchard and she's excited to meet all of YOU!

Tami has this to say about Restorative yoga:

"Restorative yoga offers healing for the body and the mind. It's simple, relax the body; relax the mind. Relax the mind, relax the body. This class is suitable for all levels of students. It is one of the best antidotes to stress, anxiety, fatigue, depression, injury, and the pressures of our fast-paced lives.

"This practice often utilizing props in supported poses, activating the body's parasympathetic nervous system. Inviting deep relaxation, in both mind and body. Also allowing the Chakras, or Energy Paths, to open and clear. A regular practice of Restorative Yoga strengthens the immune system and reverses the effects of chronic stress. Restorative Yoga is one of the primary practices used to restore peace and harmony to our lives.

"I like to combine a Restorative practice with some gentle stretching and holding poses (Yin Yoga), allowing even more release of mind and body. Sound healing is another practice of mine, where I hold the intent of releasing any blockages in the Chakras. Last, but not least, we end the practice in Suvasana with meditation."

We're thrilled to weave these practices into the already restorative nature of our apple orchard. If you or anyone you know is interested in signing up for one (or all) of Tami's classes, please call 559-890-1022, email tami@meadowlakesorchard.com, or stop by our country store where we process the apples to get on our sign up sheet.

Nah. Ima stay. :)
